Billy Braver
Bio
Billy Braver began his career as a stand-up comic. He toured extensively, appearing with Harry Chapin, The Moody Blues, Glenn Campbell, Seals and Croft, Helen Reddy, and many others. His popularity landed him lucrative contracts with The Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas and The Bitter End in New York, where audiences were charmed by his Chaplin-esque comic point of view. Before long he was making regular television appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Dinah!, American Bandstand, and The Merv Griffin Show. He even served as co-host on Midnight Special with Wolfman Jack, receiving rave reviews. He was the only comic invited back to do seven shows. His unique style of comedy soon led to acting roles in situation comedies such as Rhoda, CHiPS, Madame’s Place, and The Practice with Danny Thomas. In recent years, Billy has turned his attention away from performing to focus on developing projects geared toward his favorite audience — kids.
